The club has linked up with the apprenticeship and skills training company.

Brighton & Hove Albion have agreed a new 1901 Club lounge sponsorship deal with Sussex Skills Solutions.

The company is a newly-formed venture between Sussex Coast College Hastings and Sussex Downs College, that was launched this year to provide the ultimate solution to business staffing and workforce needs.

They use the expertise of both colleges to help businesses across Sussex find apprentices, and provide their existing workforce with skills training.

The apprenticeships and skills training provider has sponsored the lounge at the American Express Community Stadium, as it looks to strengthen its links with the football club and Albion in the Community, and build new relationships with employers and businesses who are part of the 1901 Club.

Sussex Skills Solutions is already working with a number of businesses in Eastbourne and Hastings, and will look to expand in the autumn by opening a branch in Brighton.

Dan Shelley, vice principal of enterprise, employment and skills at Sussex Coast College Hastings, said, “Sussex Skills Solutions is proud to sponsor a lounge at the American Express Community Stadium and support the Albion.”

“We strive for excellence in the training arena and feel that we therefore share similar characteristics to the football club, as they continue their strong start to the season and ambition to gain promotion to the Premier League.”

“We wish them the best of luck this season and hope that we can have a double celebration in May, with the Seagulls achieving promotion and Sussex Skills Solutions having had a successful first year.”

Paul Rogers, Albion's commercial and premium partnerships manager, said, “We are delighted to welcome Sussex Skills Solutions to our partners portfolio. We are looking forward to working with Dan [Shelley] and Stephen Burkes [Director of Sussex Skills Solutions], to enhance the great work they are currently doing in the education and training sector.”
“Our partnership will help to promote the apprenticeship scheme to our growing list of partners and sponsors in the Sussex area, that will ultimately lead people to full-time employment.”
