A host of Albion players are away with their countries.

While Brighton & Hove Albion take a break from league action this week, a host of first-team players are away with their countries for the next set of 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Here is a round-up of Albion’s players who will be targeting some game time for their countries in the coming days.

The Luton Town loanee was a late inclusion in the England under-21 squad for their forthcoming European Championship qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Aidy Boothroyd’s side are in action today against Kazakhstan in Aktobe, kick-off 4pm, before hosting Bosnia and Herzegovina in Walsall on Tuesday, kick-off 7.45pm.

Walton has replaced Jordan Pickford in the squad after the Sunderland goalkeeper was forced to withdraw due to injury. The 20-year-old will now battle it out with Derby’s Jonathan Mitchell and Newcastle’s Freddie Woodman for a starting berth in the two games.

Both matches will be shown live on BT Sport 1.

Albion’s summer signing has linked up with the Republic of Ireland squad once again, after missing their 2-2 draw with Serbia last month due to suspension.

Duffy will be targeting game time tonight when Martin O’Neill’s side host Georgia at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, ahead of another qualifier against Moldova in Chisinau on Sunday.

The Georgia and Moldova matches will be shown live on Sky Sports 2 and Sky Sports 1 respectively.

The striker will be the sole Brighton & Hove Albion representative in the Israel squad, after compatriot and team-mate Beram Kayal was ruled out due to injury.

Elisha Levy’s side are aiming to get their first points in their World Cup qualifying group tonight, when they face Macedonia at the Philip II Arena in Skopje, 7.45pm kick-off.

The Albion midfielder will be aiming to add to his 39 caps when Northern Ireland host San Marino in Belfast on Saturday, kick-off 7.45pm.

Michael O’Neill’s men then face World champions Germany in Hannover the following Tuesday.

The 25-year-old has been a mainstay in Michael O’Neill’s squad in recent months, after appearing in all four of the country’s matches at Euro 2016 and in their opening World Cup qualifier against the Czech Republic last month.

The two games can be viewed on Sky Sports 5 and Sky Sports 1 respectively.

The Czech winger will be looking to add to his 13 caps ahead of his country’s matches away at World champions Germany on Saturday and at home to Azerbaijan on Tuesday; both kick off at 7.45pm.
