The Seagulls are playing in the Checkatrade Trophy tonight.

A number of first-team players will be in action tonight when Brighton & Hove Albion play their second Checkatrade Trophy match against Stevenage at the Lamex Stadium, kick-off 7.45pm.
Connor Goldson, Rohan Ince, Sebastien Pocognoli, Uwe Huenemeier and Rob Hunt are all set to feature as the Seagulls aim to get their first points in this competition after a 2-0 defeat at Southend United in September.
At least six players in tonight’s starting line-up will be under the age of 21 and coach Simon Rusk is encouraging them to enjoy the experience.
He said, “We know it’s going to be a difficult task and a challenge for us, but it’s something that we want to embrace and give a good go.
“We want to give a good account of ourselves, as we’re representing the club and wearing the badge.
“If I was an under-23 player in these games, I’d want to show that I’ve got pride, passion and want to compete for the club.
“It’s a game we’re very much looking forward to, but we know the size of the challenge.”

Rusk also believes the squad has learnt some valuable lessons following the defeat at Roots Hall last month.
“We learned that we needed to be better in the final third, but we were certainly happy with our general pattern of play and possession in the Southend game.
“On the night we felt both goals were preventable, so I see no reasons why we can’t go into the Stevenage game and win it.”
