Today's game was stopped due to a serious injury to a Leicester player.

Brighton and Hove Albion’s under-23 game against Leicester City was abandoned after 64 minutes this afternoon, due to a serious injury to Foxes defender Elliott Moore.

Moore was involved in an accidental collision during the second half, and referee Adam Bromley decided to abandon the fixture as the 19-year-old received treatment on the field.

Albion had taken the lead shortly before the incident through substitute Kazenga LuaLua, who cut inside and fired a shot past Leicester goalkeeper Daniel Iverson from just outside the penalty area.

The Premier League Cup match at St George’s Park will be replayed on a new date, and further details will be announced in due course.

The club would like to wish Elliott a speedy recovery.
