Albion's manager paid tribute to his veteran defender.
Brighton & Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton has led the plaudits for Bruno, as the experienced full-back was rewarded for a magnificent season with a new one-year contract.
The Spaniard was an ever-present figure in the Albion side that came within touching distance of securing automatic promotion and appeared in all 46 league games. He was named in both the Football Manager Team of the Season, at the Football League Awards, and in the PFA Championship Team of the Season.
The 35-year-old also received notable recognition from Seagulls supporters for his sterling efforts during the campaign and secured the runner-up spot in the Player of the Season Award – acquiring 36% of the vote behind winner Beram Kayal, who received 41%.
