Albion will find out their first opponents of the season on 22nd June.

Brighton & Hove Albion will find out their opponents for next season when the 2016/17 Championship fixtures are released on Wednesday 22nd June at 9am.

The new Championship season begins on Saturday 6th August and Albion fans have just under a month to wait until the new schedule of fixtures is confirmed.

There will be a number of eye-catching games to look out for in the new campaign, with Newcastle United, Norwich City and Aston Villa all coming down from the Premier League.


Chris Hughton’s men will also renew acquaintances with Wigan Athletic, who secured an immediate return to England’s second-tier competition, after winning the League One title.

The Seagulls are also set to face Burton Albion for the first time in league competition, after consecutive promotions for the Brewers.

The winners of the League One Play-Off Final between Barnsley and Millwall, along with the losers of the Championship’s Wembley showpiece match contested by Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday, will complete the list of 24 clubs.
