Albion are issuing a rallying cry to fans ahead of Monday's match.

Brighton & Hove Albion are calling on supporters to arrive early at the Amex this Monday, and help to create a big atmosphere for the play-off semi-final second leg against Sheffield Wednesday.

Albion must overturn a 2-0 deficit from Friday night's first leg at Hillsborough and manager Chris Hughton wants fans to create a real atmosphere inside the stadium.

He said, "The fans have been outstanding this season, on the road and at the Amex, and we will need our home supporters for one last big push.

"We believe the result is achievable and we will need the supporters right behind us on Monday evening right from the off. Their support on Friday was outstanding, and we'd like them to give us more of the same.

"We want fans to get to the stadium early and generate that atmosphere throughout the build up to kick-off. I'm sure the noise will be loud and we will be greeted by a sea of blue and white as we walk out ahead of kick-off."

Supporters are also invited to send in their own personal messages of support and good luck to the team, with the best ones being shown on the big screen in the build up to kick off.

Fans can send them as videos (ideally in landscape mode to or as tweets, via @OfficialBHAFC.

Meanwhile, the club has also issued the following, important travel advice:

We have been advised by Southern Rail that due to staff shortages, they expect severe disruption on Monday evening to their regular services, and that they are unable to provide their usual matchday service.

Southern will be attempting to run their timetabled service, but we have been warned to expect cancellations. Therefore we are advising fans, wherever possible to seek alternative modes of transport, as listed below.

Additionally, due to the possibility of the match going to extra time, and to penalties, the match may finish later than usual. Fans are advised that after 10.30pm Southern Rail will ONLY be running their usual timetabled operation. So please plan for this eventuality, and be patient if queuing at Falmer Station at the end of the match.

There is a full matchday bus service in operation.

Our travel partner Seagull Travel is running its usual matchday operation, with pick-up and drop-off points across East and West Sussex, and further afield. For more details, please visit or call 0845 901 1442. We strongly advise pre-booking.

All three park & ride sites will be in operation from 5pm, but will be busy, so please allow extra time for your travel during rush hour. We do have additional capacity at Brighton Racecourse, but note there is an afternoon race meeting, which is likely to mean additional traffic in the area ahead of the match; although it is expected to be cleared by 5.30pm.
