Brighton & Hove Albion’s under-23s made it two wins out of two games in pre-season, after an emphatic 7-0 victory over Dorchester Town.

Four goals from Vahid Hambo, George Cox’s brace and a strike from Archie Davies earned the Seagulls a resounding win.

Hambo scored his and Albion’s first of the game after Dorchester keeper Shane Murphy pushed out Will Collar’s effort into the path of the Finn, who fired home.

The striker then doubled Brighton’s advantage with a good finish at the near post, to put Simon Rusk’s side 2-0 up at half time.

His hat-trick was complete just a minute after the restart with a cool finish past Murphy to put the Seagulls firmly in control of the game.

Hambo completed his haul for the game with a close-range strike, after a free-kick cannoned off the crossbar.

The Seagulls made a host of changes midway through the second half, including Jonah Ayunga, who came on to face his former club.

But Albion continued their goalscoring momentum thanks to Davies, who fired home with a good finish at the far post.

Cox added a sixth, before completing an impressive night’s work for Rusk’s side with a shot that clipped in off the far post to make the final score 7-0 to Albion.
