Albion's manager on the latest arrivals and the prospect of more signings.
Brighton & Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton is pleased with his two new additions and has highlighted the importance getting some early business done.
Albion's squad has been bolstered by the arrivals of Steve Sidwell on a free transfer and Glenn Murray on a season-long loan from Bournemouth.
He told Seagulls Player HD, "We're delighted to have done it early, as we're only in our second week of pre-season. Steve Sidwell joined us and was available for that first week. Glenn then arrived at the beginning of this week.
"Steve was an obvious one for us, because he came here in that second period of the season and fitted in very well to the group. We knew of his qualities before he came and certainly as an individual as well.
"That was important, certainly after losing the experience we have done in the players that left last season.
“With the departure of Bobby Zamora and James Wilson at the end of last season, we knew we wanted to bring in someone in that area. To have done that business for Glenn this early in pre-season will hopefully be a big plus for us."

The Seagulls boss says he hopes to have more additions to his squad by the time the window shuts, but does not anticipate doing as much business compared with last year.
"We have a responsibility to make the squad as strong as possible. The good news is that we certainly don't need to bring in the volumes that we had to bring in last summer.
"It ended up being a busy summer and a busy pre-season. The bulk of our work was done then and we acquired very well in January, so that's given us a really good base this summer.
"We found out last season how tough this division is, and if we want to be able to challenge again then we have to make sure we're as good as what we were last season."
