The full-back was delighted to start at the Amex.
Brighton & Hove Albion defender Sebastien Pocognoli reflected on an ideal re-introduction to the team, after a 2-0 win over Leeds United last night.
The Belgian international made his second league start for the Seagulls on Friday night and was delighted to test himself against a strong Leeds side.
He said, “I’m constantly training well and always ready to make an appearance.
“It was the perfect game for me to start against a good team at home on Friday night.
“I really enjoyed it and I just want a run in the team, because I know I can do much better.
“I’d like to play more but the season is very long and there is a big achievement in front of us to aim for, so let’s hope we do it.”

The full-back believes the sending off of Kalvin Phillips and the subsequent penalty was a big turning point in the game, and was pleased that Glenn Murray took full advantage from the spot.
“We started well, were aggressive on the ball and had the luck of a penalty and a red card for them. That meant it wasn’t easy for them to play with ten men against us.
“That was key, because it’s not always easy to have one upfront and play ten against 11.
“We did a good job and it’s an important game for us now on Tuesday [v Blackburn]. If we go there and bring home three points, it will be perfect.”
Last night’s result moved the Seagulls to the top of the Sky Bet Championship, but the West Bromwich Albion loanee is refusing to get carried away.
“It’s a long season and there are many games to go. The team won and kept a clean sheet, which is the most important thing.
“We want to keep going after this game and do better than last season. We have to learn from that and do better.”
