Brighton & Hove Albion will pay tribute to Gary Townsend at Friday night’s home fixture with Nottingham Forest.
Albion in the Community’s popular chief executive sadly passed away in June at the age of 43 while on holiday.
The club is inviting supporters to honour Gary’s memory in the 43rd minute of the first home fixture of the season with a minute’s applause, and a tribute video will also be played before kick-off during the pre-match build-up.

AITC chairman Martin Perry said, “We were overwhelmed with messages of condolences after the news of Gary’s death, and as a club we want to show just how much his loss has hurt us all.
“With the blessing of Gary’s family, we are asking fans to join us in a minute’s applause to show how much he meant to so many.
“His family will be in attendance to witness the club and the community pay tribute to an outstanding and inspirational man."
