The important information ahead of tonight's match.

Brighton & Hove Albion host Colchester United tonight in an EFL Cup first round tie, kick-off 7.45pm. It is Albion's first home match of the season and Colchester's first-ever visit to the Amex.

Matchday travel

We would like to remind supporters that the travel subsidy on public transport is not valid for this game, and that the park-and-ride sites will not be in operation.

Due to industrial action, there will be no trains running to and from Falmer station for this fixture. Car parking can still be booked in Car Park C (formerly the University of Sussex Car Park) at and there will be very limited availability in Car Park B (formerly known as the Bridge Car Park) on the day.

Seagull Travel will be running coach services with pick-up points across Sussex. Visit for full details of pick-up times and locations.

Season-ticket holders are reminded that EFL Cup fixtures are not included in your package and you will need to purchase and bring your paper ticket to gain access to this fixture.

1901 Club members are reminded that your old 1901 Club season card(s) and lanyard(s) will not give you access to stadium for this fixture.

You should have received your new 1901 Club pack in the post to the address your tickets are registered to by Tuesday 9th August. If you do not receive your 1901 Club membership pack by the day of the fixture, contact Supporter Services on 0344 324 6282 (opt 6) before 5pm.


Upon arrival
Dick’s Bar will be open from 4pm, 1901 Club lounges from 5.15pm and the concourses from 6.15pm. The 7 Stars Sports Bar is not in operation for this fixture, but the Hop bar in the Fanzone will be open.
Food & Drink
There will be a limited time offer in the stadium concourses during the first 30 minutes of opening, with an early bird deal of any food item and an alcoholic drink for just £8, or any food item and any soft drink for just £6.
The guest pie for this fixture is a Butter Chicken pie from Piglets Pantry.

Colchester United edition of Seagull

Tonight’s poster programme against Colchester United will include the first in a new series of giant collectable posters this season – and features goalkeeper David Stockdale.

Each issue of the matchday programme thereafter will include a free giant poster insert, featuring all your favourite players from the Albion first-team squad – making it the perfect addition to any bedroom wall or workplace!

Elsewhere in tonght’s programme, Liam Rosenior reveals why Albion will not be taking opponents Colchester United lightly, manager Chris Hughton also looks ahead to the game, while there’s news of a special appointment for Albion chief executive Paul Barber.
