UPCOMING INTERNATIONAL CALL-UPS

29 September 2015

Brighton & Hove Albion skipper Gordon Greer is in the Scotland squad for their vital Euro qualifiers against Poland at Hampden Park and against Gibraltar in the Algarve.

The Scots still have an outside chance of qualification, and Greer is part of the squad who will be looking to join England at next summer's European Championships in France.

They face Poland on Thursday 8th October, and Gibraltar on the following Sunday, 11th October; and currently sit in fourth place in Group D on 11 points, six behind second place Poland and four behind Ireland who currently hold the play-off place.

Meanwhile, Tomer Hemed and Beram Kayal are likely to be included in the Israel squad for matches at home to Cyprus and away to Belgium on Saturday 10th and Tuesday 13th respectively.

Goalkeeper Niki Maenpaa is expected to feature for Finland, as they travel to Romania on the Friday, before a home fixture with Northern Ireland on the Sunday.

England under-21 trio Solly March, Christian Walton and Jake Forster-Caskey, will be hoping to be part of Gareth Southgate's squad or the home game with Kazakhstan on Thursday 13th October.

Forster-Caskey is currently on loan at MK Dons, while Walton has recovered from a groin injury which curtailed his loan spell at League One Bury.

Meanwhile defender Glen Rea, who is currently on loan at Southend United, is predicted to keep his place in the Republic of Ireland under-21 squad.
