Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Jake Forster-Caskey has joined Milton Keynes Dons on a one-month loan deal.
The 21-year-old will link up with his new team-mates tomorrow, although he is cup-tied for the Dons’ Capital One Cup tie with Southampton on Wednesday night.
Albion boss Chris Hughton told seagulls.co.uk, “Jake has found first-team opportunities hard to come by this season because of the performances of other players in the team.
“A young, hungry player like Jake wants and needs to be playing regularly. This move not only gives him that chance, it also keeps him playing in the Championship, so when he returns he will be match sharp and will have gained even more experience at this level.
“People forget because of how long he has been here that Jake is still young, and he needs to be getting game time for his development and general fitness.”

Forster-Caskey made his first-team debut at the end of the 2009/10 season aged just 16 – at the time becoming Albion’s youngest-ever player – going on to make 81 appearances in total and scoring nine times.
He has also represented England at under-16, under-17, under-18, under-20 and under-21 levels, most recently featuring in the European Championship qualifier against Norway at the start of September.
He is in line for his debut this weekend in the live lunchtime fixture against Derby County on Saturday. The loan deal runs until MK Dons' match against QPR on 24th October, but Albion do have a recall option after 28 days.
