Brighton & Hove Albion women’s manager James Marrs is eager for his side to continue their winning momentum against Coventry United on Sunday.
Albion are turning their attentions back to the league following two consecutive weeks of cup action and Marrs says his squad will be ready to face the West Midlands side; who have won four of their five league games to date.
He said, “It’s a big game for us this weekend and it’s another chance to see where we are in terms of our progression.
“We’re fully focussed and know what’s needed to win the game. It all depends on whether we apply ourselves sufficiently and manage to get out our targets that have been set.”

ALBION’S DEVELOPMENT SQUAD return to action on Sunday when they face Portsmouth at the University of Portsmouth, kick-off 2pm.
The Seagulls have recorded 1-0 and 4-1 wins over Charlton Athletic and Lewes respectively this season, but were beaten 2-0 by Queens Park Rangers in the opening game of the campaign.
ALBION'S ACADEMY SIDE, in partnership with Worthing College, hammered Kingston College 11-0 at Culver Road on Wednesday. Sara Tubby scored a hat-trick, Annie Rolf and Hayley Bridge netted a brace each, while Niamh Anderson, Emily Baker, Valentine Pursey and Danielle Rowe scored once.
HOLLIE OLDING played the full 90 minutes for England under-17s in the two 13-0 victories over Croatia and Estonia and in the 2-2 draw with Poland.
England and Poland finished in the top positions in the four team mini-tournament and have progressed into the elite round of qualification for next year's finals.
IN OTHER INTERNATIONAL news, Amelia Ritchie and Browen Thomas are currently both with the Wales under-17 squad for their upcoming Uefa under-17 qualifying tournament in Hungary which begins on Saturday.
The Welsh side face matches against Hungary on Saturday at Varosi Stadium in Ozd, against Denmark on 12th October at the Kiraly Stadium in Szombathidy, and against Israel on 15th October, also at the Varosi Stadium.
HANNAH GARDENER has been called up to an England under-16 training camp at Bishop Abbey on 26th to 27th October. Sian Chipper, Ellie Hacks and Emily Ormon have also been selected for a under-15 national training camp at the University of Warwick on 23rd to 25th October.
ALBION’S CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE under-11, under-13, under-15 and under-17 teams are in action away at Chelsea on Saturday at their Cobham training ground.
Several of Albion’s under-15 players will also be representing Sussex Schools FA in their match against their Kent counterparts on Saturday.
ALBION WOMEN'S next home game after Sunday's match with Coventry United is against Cardiff City on Sunday 1st November, kick-off 2pm. The match will take place at the Sussex County FA Headquarters at Culver Road, Lancing, West Sussex, BN15 9AX.
