At his pre-match press conference Brighton & Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton delivered the latest team news, spoke about Connor Goldson's progress, Albion women’s unbeaten start to the season and the threat from Preston North End.
Team News: “We have a great balance in the squad and we have been fortunate with the lack of injuries.
“Gordon Greer trained on Thursday, he’ll be close which is a plus, and Jamie Murphy is back, which was unfortunate at the time because he was a player that was in very good form.
“That’s the nature of the game, whether its injuries or suspensions, they are going to happen and you just hope that you have the squad to cope with them.
“Kazenga LuaLua trained on Thursday which is good, but we have to conscious that he has been out for a period of time. We need to make sure that we get it right with him and with anybody coming back from injury it’s not about the next game, it’s about the period of time to recover.”
Albion women’s unbeaten start: “We have a very good facility here, we are fortunate that they train here so it gives us an opportunity to see the team and also see them individually. I am very much on top of how they’re doing and keeping tabs on them, James Marrs has done a great job with them and as has the club itself. It’s really good to see them playing well and long may it continue.”
"I must admit for timing reasons I haven’t been to see them as much as I’d like, but I’m very much kept on top of their results. They have had a very good start to the season and it's brilliant for them as a team and as individuals."

Opportunities for Connor Goldson: "He is a young player who has got a really bright future and we’ve been really delighted with him here. What he has come into is quite difficult, coming from playing week in week out, to being involved with a good group of lads, but of course not featuring in as many games.
In front of him he has three experienced centre backs, Lewis Dunk is not so much older, but certainly the other two are. I think he is a very bright lad, he has been great round the place and he’ll certainly get his opportunities and moments.
Threat from Preston: "They are probably on the back of their best result of the season winning 3-0 away at Charlton, whilst playing three at the back like Bristol did on Tuesday.
"Ultimately when you go into a game it’s about what you want to do as a team, how you want to set up and how you can cause enough problems for your opposition in your system.
"What we found with Bristol City is that they were on the back of a really good result against Nottingham Forest, and they gave us a really tough game.
"In the final period it became a very open game, fortunately for us we had that bit of quality that got us the result..
"Generally what Preston have done is play a 4-4-2, but they will be in good spirits, so we’ll have to be guarded from that. We will have to concentrate and play how we have done to get another three points."
