Joao Teixeira’s performances while on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion have won the midfielder Liverpool’s Academy Players’ Player Award for the 2014/15 season.
Teixeira spent the entire campaign with the Seagulls, netting six times in 35 appearances before a broken leg curtailed his season in late April.

The Portuguese midfielder was recognised for his achievements on the south coast at Liverpool’s end-of-season awards night, where the Reds also paid tribute to departing captain Steven Gerrard, presenting the former England captain with the Outstanding Achievement award.
It is the second accolade the 22-year-old Teixeira has won this season after collecting Albion’s Young Player of the Year award last month.
