Brighton & Hove Albion’s Gordon Greer, Aaron Hughes, Christian Walton, Jake Forster-Caskey, Beram Kayal, Glen Rea and Shamir Fenelon are all on international duty this week, and here is a complete guide to where they will be representing their countries.
Gordon Greer – Scotland
Albion’s captain has once again been named in Gordon Strachan’s squad as the Tartan Army prepare for one friendly and one Euro 2016 qualifying match. The Seagulls centre-back has continued to command a starting berth for his nation despite being limited to just 17 appearances for Albion this season. The defender could potentially come head-to-head with fellow Albion centre-half Greer when Northern Ireland travel to Hampden Park in the aforementioned fixture. Hughes and Ireland then host Finland on Sunday 29th, kick-off 5pm, where they will look to reignite their qualification campaign after suffering a first loss last time out away at group leaders Romania.
Beram Kayal - Israel
Kayal’s energetic and impressive displays for the Seagulls have seen the midfielder recalled to the Israel set-up after almost a year’s absence. Israel currently sit top of Group B with three wins from three and have back-to-back home fixtures, starting against Wales on Saturday 28th, kick-off 5pm, before taking on 2014 World Cup quarter-finalists Belgium on Tuesday 31st, kick-off 7.45pm.
