Brighton & Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton says his squad has reported back in good shape for pre-season training.
Albion began their preparations for the live TV Championship showdown with Nottingham Forest on Friday 7th August, with fitness testing last Friday, before getting out onto the training pitch on Monday.
International pair Christian Walton and Beram Kayal have been given extra time off and report back today, along with Tomer Hemed and Adrian Colunga - whose La Liga seasons ended later than their English-based teammates.
Hughton said, "We are in good shape. We have four that are back in today and have had that longer period, but we are now in the era when these players come back in much better shape than what we used to.
"Friday and Saturday were very much testing days. Monday and Tuesday were our first days on the training pitches and at the moment they're in good shape.
"We're looking forward to the others arriving today and hopefully more arriving over the next few weeks."

Albion head to the Alps on Sunday for a week-long training camp ahead of the opening pre-season match against FC Meryin in Geneva, with the programme culminating in an eye-catching Amex friendly against Europa League winners Sevilla.
Hughton added, "Next week will be hard for the players, who will have two or three training sessions each day, but that's normal.
"This week has given them the grounding for that and next week gives us the grounding for the games we have to play.
"Probably the stand-out games are the local ones at Lewes and Crawley, but we have a very big home fixture against Sevilla, the cup holders one week before the season starts, which is a big game for us.
"We’re hoping by that stage that we would have more additions to the squad. We have two already and we know we need to bring more in and look forward to that."
