Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton hasn't ruled out an active week in the transfer market as he prepares his side for the opening game of the season against Nottingham Forest on Friday.
Speaking after yesterday's 1-0 win over Sevilla, he said, "I am very confident that we will bring in the numbers that we want. When that happens is down to a lot of factors – it is a very difficult market - but hopefully sooner rather than later. I wouldn't rule out getting players in this week, but there are a lot of clubs in a similar position to us."

Hughton saw his side close their pre-season campaign with an encouraging 1-0 win over the Europa League winners at the Amex, and says one of the most pleasing aspects of the warm-up schedule is to see his players come through largely unscathed.
"We have not had too many injuries in pre-season and the players have worked very hard. Sometimes when that happens it allows you to work on a specific group and we have been able to do that.
"Adrian [Colunga] was ill, but he's missed only one day of pre-season training and has been involved in most of the games.
"Solly [March] is fine. We took him off because he has missed the last couple of games since his injury in the game with Crawley and we felt that he had done enough. He will be a little bit stiff, as will a few of them, as it was a warm day.
"It was a tough day – particularly for the two wide players, as they had two full backs that almost played like wingers and they had to show as much quality defensively as offensively.
"The good news with Crofty [Andrew Crofts] is that he has had no set backs at all in pre-season. We have stick to the correct programme for him. He played in an under-21 game on Thursday and a good sign was that he trained the next day and wanted to train so that is an indication of how he feels.
"We will give him another good week's training and look to play him in the under-21 game on Friday. For him at this moment it is all about training, but when we can get the opportunity to give him games then we will take those."
