Brighton & Hove Albion striker Tomer Hemed says he plans to carry his pre-season goalscoring form into the new season, and is looking forward to playing in front of a big crowd at the Amex on Friday when Nottingham Forest visit.
Hemed was delighted to score from the spot on his home debut as his third goal of the warm-up campaign ensured an impressive 1-0 victory over Sevilla on Sunday.
He told seagulls.co.uk, “It was a very good feeling to score and win the game on my first appearance at the Amex.
“I’m very happy that we won and this is very important for us before the league starts. All the players had a good game and we have worked hard to stay in this shape.
“We can take a lot of good things from today. We will see the game again and learn what we did well and not so well.
“It is important that we get even better for the next game and fix what we need in order to improve.
“I really like the stadium and the atmosphere. I’m sure that in the league we will see more people here and that it will be a very nice atmosphere for the first game.
"The most important thing for me is to score goals because it’s my job, so I’m happy at the moment.”

The Israeli international says he is already feeling at home after finding the net three times in pre-season and is reaping the rewards of a flourishing striking partnership with Sam Baldock.
“I didn’t play in all the pre-season games, so I’m happy with how many goals I’ve scored, but the most important thing is that I feel good playing in this team.
“I really like to play with Sam; he really works hard in every game and tries to do the best for the team. He’s not a player that only thinks about himself and is always focused on helping the team. It’s a very good feeling to work with each other and we can do very good things together this season.
“After a few weeks, we are already sorted and it’s very important to be settled in attack going into the new season. We feel good and we know each other’s movement, so it’s great that we’re so confident playing together.”
