GREER NAMED IN SCOTLAND SQUAD

Brighton & Hove Albion skipper Gordon Greer has been named in the  Scotland squad for their upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers away at Georgia and at home to Germany.

Gordon Strachan's squad currently sits third in Group D with 11 points from six games, two points behind Germany and three points behind leaders Poland.
 
Greer will travel with the rest of the squad to face Georgia at the Boris Paichadze Stadium on Friday 4th September, before a mouth-watering clash with Joachim Low’s Germany at Hampden Park on Monday 7th September, 7.45pm kick-off.

The Albion captain has earned a total of eight caps for his country, with his last appearance coming in a 1-0 friendly win over Qatar in June.
 
His last competitive appearance was back in March in a Euro 2016 qualifier, as the Scots recorded a 6-1 win over Gibraltar at Hampden Park.
