Southend have drawn their last four competitive matches after 90 minutes, including a 7-6 penalty shoot-out victory over Wycombe in the League Two Play-Off Final with the score level at 1-1 after extra time.talemate:S

Only goal of the game: Ashley Barnes scored after 15 minutes at Roots Hall to give Albion a 1-0 win over Southend in April 2010.

Unbeaten: Albion will be aiming to make it three games unbeaten at Roots Hall, after recording 1-0 and 2-0 victories in their previous two visits to the Essex club.

Tottenham Hotspur: The Seagulls reached the Capital One Cup fourth round last season and were beaten 2-0 by Premier League Tottenham at White Hart Lane.
