PRE-MATCH BRIEF: ALBION V BOURNEMOUTH

9 April 2015

Top of the table AFC Bournemouth are the visitors tomorrow at the Amex. Eddie Howe’s men have been many people’s surprise package this term in the Championship, though Chris Hughton’s Albion will be looking to finish the season on a high after what was a disappointing Easter weekend.

At the Goldsands earlier this season Bournemouth edged to a win by the odd goal in a five-goal thriller.

With a Friday kick-off of 7:45pm, concourses will open at 6:15pm. Dick’s Bar will open at the usual time of 4pm and the Seven Stars at 4.30pm, serving a large selection of food and drinks.

Travel Update
Albion’s official travel partner Seagull Travel collect from over 120 pick-up locations covering East and West Sussex and surrounding counties. Seats can be booked viawww.stagedoortickets.co.uk/SeagullTravel or by calling 0845 9011 442.

Southern Rail will be running a usual matchday service for the game and for more information on travelling to the Amex check out our travel guide.

Fan Zone
Our ever-popular Fan Zone will feature Brighton band Red Raucous performing on the bandstand. In the family concourse of the East stand we have the Potty the Pirate Magic Show and face-painting for the younger Seagulls fans.

The club were very pleased with the success of our new licence in enabling alcohol to be consumed in the designated area outside the stadium, which will also be the case for this Friday’s game.

Alcohol will be available to be purchased at the mobile kiosk up to 45 minutes before kick-off and consumed throughout the external concourse, allowing fans to walk freely with their drinks. Fans should note that all drinks must be consumed before they are brought into the stadium.

Post-match there will be no alcohol served outside, however fans will be able to leave the stadium with their drinks purchased inside, providing that all drinks are consumed prior to reaching the coach park steps, T-junction or station approach. We ask all fans to drink responsibly and work with us to meet our licensing conditions and make this area a success.

Half-time Spectacle
We have linked up with eyecare partner Eyesight to put on a half-time spectacle at the Amex.

Two pairs of fans will be invited pitchside to take part in an Amex first…bubble football. The two-versus-two match will see four fans don the zorbs with the winners claiming a prize so make sure you don’t miss it.

Contactless at the Amex
Brighton & Hove Albion, in partnership with American Express, has completed the roll out of contactless payment options across the American Express Community Stadium – meaning faster service for fans on matchdays.

With the benefits of contactless payment we will be phasing out our e-cash payment option at the end of the season. Our e-cash booths will be closed for our remaining fixtures, although fans can spend any remaining funds until the end of the current season.
