Seagulls Over London are holding their next meeting tonight at The Royal Oak, commencing at 7.30pm.
The two special guests are Sussex Police's football intelligence and liaison officer with the Albion, Darren Balkham, and chief constable of Sussex Police from 2008 until his recent retirement, Martin Richards.
Darren will be able to report on any current approaches to football policing, including his most recent role - working with England, while Martin, who was previously chief constable of Wiltshire Police, will share his expertise in training for the police service and in criminology – a subject he has a master’s degree in from Cambridge.
Seagulls Over London are a group made up of Albion fans who live or work in London. They meet six times a year to discuss events - usually with invited guests in attendance who have connections with the club.
Membership is £5 per year and all monies collected, along with any donations, are used to cover costs of running Seagulls Over London. Remaining funds are spent on sponsorship of different areas of the club.
