Sami Hyypia is looking for his Brighton & Hove Albion side to turn performances into points after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Ipswich Town.
The Seagulls boss is now looking for his players to make sure they come off the field with a result, starting with Blackpool on Saturday at the Amex.
He told seagulls.co.uk, “We need to get some points for sure. We want to finish as high as possible this year and I know that now we are a bit behind but we can’t fall too far behind.
“It’s going to be an even season and anything can happen but we need to get some points on the table.
“We did the things tonight that we talked about before the game. We did them okay, we wanted to improve our defending from the last game and we did but then maybe the offensive side of things was there until the final third.
“In the final third we weren't dangerous enough to create better chances to score, so we can’t be happy with everything that we did offensively.
“However there was a massive difference in the defending from Saturday but we still have to work hard to make sure we don’t concede scrappy goals like the first goal.
“We need to find another concentration or a new concentration for the next game.”
The Albion manager also singled out the Seagulls fans for their tremendous backing adding, “For me it’s the same if we play at home or away. Of course the difference is that we have our supporters in the stadium and their support is very important, but in away games their support has been brilliant.”
“So that keeps all the players on their toes as well. You have to be ready to be play and I like to keep it that way.”
“We play a lot of games with just three or four days between them and nobody can perform at the highest level in all the games.
“I said before the game when I announced the starting line-up that I like to do it, I like to have fresh legs on the pitch.
Hyypia also confirmed that he will continue to rotate his squad as the season progresses after making another four changes to his team line-up from Saturday’s fixture.
