Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper David Stockdale is eagerly anticipating this Saturday’s match against former club Fulham at the Amex.
The Yorkshire shot-stopper spent six years with the West London club and says he will be delighted to see a number of familiar faces at the weekend.
He told seagulls.co.uk, “It’s going to be a brilliant afternoon for me if I’m selected and it will be great to see them come down. I hope that the fans have a safe journey as well, because they were brilliant to me during my time there.
“I still keep in touch with a number of the lads as they’re my friends, not just former teammates. I’ve sent them a few texts to say watch your backs and we’ve had a bit of banter.”

“I can’t wait until the game on Saturday, but I want all three points and not another 3-3 draw.”
“It’s starting to come to fruition and we’ve gone to Norwich and scored three goals. People were a bit impatient, but draws can turn into good points come at the end of the season.
“After the Norwich game we looked at the fact we had dropped two points, but the win was in our grasp again.
Despite Stockdale’s close ties to the Cottagers, he insists the primary focus is on securing three points and extending Albion’s unbeaten run of three matches.
