Brighton & Hove Albion striker Shamir Fenelon has joined Tranmere Rovers on loan until 1st January 2015 – where he will link up with former Seagulls boss Micky Adams.
Sami Hyypia said, “We want Shamir to get some games and this loan to Tranmere gives him the option to go and play regular first-team football. He did that last season with Chesterfield and Torquay, and that really benefitted his development.
“A similar spell with Rochdale didn’t work out for Sham, because the form of Rochdale’s other strikers meant he wasn’t getting game time. So we decided we would bring him back to the club, work with him on his match fitness with some games with the under-21s – and now he is ready to go on loan again.”

The 20-year-old made his Albion debut on the opening day of the season against Sheffield Wednesday and made two further appearances in the Championship, and in the Capital One Cup first round tie against Cheltenham Town.
Fenelon joined Rochdale on a season-long loan in August, but was recalled in October after making just one start and four substitute appearances. The move to Prenton Park will be the fourth loan spell of Fenelon’s career, having also appeared for Tonbridge Angels and Torquay United last season.
