Albion girls’ Centre of Excellence is celebrating more international success, as Paula Howells and Zoe Cross have been called up to respective England under-19 and under-16 training camps.

Paula, who now regularly features for Albion women’s first team, will join up with Mo Marley’s under-19s squad for a three-day training camp at Warwick University on 24th March.

Zoe will then take part in a week-long under-16 development camp at St George’s Park between 4th and 11th April and will be involved in a UEFA tournament, potentially playing against the likes of Poland, Denmark and Switzerland.
Elite women and girls football manager, Tracy Doe, was delighted to hear news of the call-ups.

She told seagulls.co.uk, “It’s fantastic news to have players selected at under-16 and under-19 level for England and further demonstrates the depth and breadth of talent within our centre of excellence.

“It is also great that the club’s work in helping to develop these players is being recognised and we hope to have many more of our girls called up to international camps in the near future.”
