Brighton & Hove Albion striker Shamir Fenelon has joined League One Rochdale on a season-long loan.
Manager Sami Hyypia said, "Shamir did very well in pre-season and that has been of great benefit to his development. Now it is important he continues that, and the experience of playing regular football in League One will help him to continue that progress."
The 20-year-old made his Seagulls debut on the opening day of the season against Sheffield Wednesday and has made three appearances, having also appeared against Birmingham City in the Championship and Cheltenham Town in the first round of the Capital One Cup.
It is the third loan spell of Fenelon's career, having appeared last season for Conference South side Tonbridge Angels and League Two Torquay United, where he made his Football League debut against Oxford United and scored his first professional goal against Chesterfield.
