Brighton & Hove Albion and Charlton Athletic will be joining a nationwide initiative tomorrow to pay their respects to the victims of the 1989 Hillsborough disaster.

Twenty-five years ago this coming week, on 15th April 1989, 96 Liverpool fans went to a match and never came home.

The game at which the disaster took place, the FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest, was ended six minutes after kick-off, at 3.06pm.
As a mark of respect and remembrance for what happened that day, today's kick-off will take place seven minutes later than originally scheduled.

The thoughts of all connected with Brighton & Hove Albion are with the families and friends of those affected at this time.

Please also be advised that there will be a minute's silence immediately prior to kick-off, starting, and ending, on the referee's whistle.

Albion v Charlton Athletic:
Saturday 12th April, kick-off 3.07pm

Albion v Blackpool:
Monday 21st April, kick-off 3.00pm
