Brighton & Hove Albion women head coach John Donoghue is anticipating a closer match against Charlton Athletic this Sunday at Thamesmead FC, kick-off 2pm.

Albion beat the south Londoners 4-1 at Withdean last Sunday in a third consecutive victory, but Donoghue hopes his side will guard against complacency.
He told seagulls.co.uk, “Both teams are still fresh in each other’s minds, so we are expecting the second game to be much closer on Sunday.

“I’d like to think we could play the same way as last week, but I don’t doubt they’ll work hard to nullify us and try to spot any weaknesses in our game.

“There was a lot more relaxation and confidence in our game last week and we asked the players to try and express themselves a bit more.

“They should be going into the game feeling confident, but not complacent.”

Hayley West, the Kmita twins and Amy Potkins are all expected to be recalled into the squad, but Amy Green (hamstring) and Charlotte Owen (knee) are both ruled out.

Rebecca Merritt has started training again after recovering from concussion and could be in contention for a return this weekend.
