Albion Women’s Charley Boswell admitted the side have gained some valuable understanding from Sunday’s friendly defeat at Barnet.
The Seagulls lost 2-1 to the Bees but Boswell admits to learning a great deal about the team.
She told seagulls.co.uk, “It was good to bring in the reserve team players, look at the formations we’ve been playing and learn the transition between them. The game benefited us, despite the result.
“It was positive in terms of bringing people in and seeing what we can do.”
The defender also looked ahead to the upcoming matches against Chesham in the Premier League Cup and West Ham in a crunch league encounter.
“I have been following the results and seen that Chesham have yet to win a game, but I don’t think we should treat it as an easy match. They’ll be on us all the time and they will be targeting their first win.
“West Ham will be a hard game; it will be a bit feistier. I’m excited and looking forward to both games but we know they’ll both be tough.”
