Head of football operations David Burke has confirmed the club will step into the loan market when the window opens to provide Oscar Garcia an extra striking option.
The loan window opens on Tuesday and Burke expects Albion to bring in a forward, probably ahead of the trip to Reading next Sunday.
He explained, “We have always got players lined up and we have got three forwards injured so I would expect to see something happen as quickly as possible."
Albion added Keith Andrews, Kemy Agustien, Stephen Ward and Adam Chicksen this summer but with Ashley Barnes, Craig Mackail-Smith and Will Hoskins all out with injuries, Oscar is heavily reliant on top scorer Leonardo Ulloa.
Next week Albion's YouTube channel will feature extended interviews with Oscar Garcia and David Burke.
Head coach Oscar reflects on his first six games at the club, while Burke gives a fascinating insight into the transfer window and why the club's new training facility can be the bedrock for a bright future.
