Albion have completed the loan signing of Swansea City forward Leroy Lita, until 1st January 2014.
The striker will be available for Albion’s trip to Yeovil Town on Saturday, subject to international clearance.
Oscar Garcia admitted he is pleased to have finally added an extra attacker of Lita’s quality following the host of frustrating injuries.
He told seagulls.co.uk “He is strong, fast, and direct, and he has shown he can score goals in the Championship. He offers us something different going forward."
Lita has over 100 career goals to his name having started his career at Bristol City before moving to Reading.
Loan spells followed at Norwich and Charlton before a free transfer to Middlesbrough in 2009 but after two years at the Riverside he signed for the Swans for an estimated £1.5 million in 2011.
However the 28-year-old’s opportunities have been limited at the Liberty Stadium with the striker spending last season out on loan at Birmingham City and Sheffield Wednesday.
