Under-21 forward Shamir Goodwin has joined Tonbridge Angels on a one-month loan deal.
The striker joins the Conference South side with the club lying in 19th place with two wins and three draws from their first ten fixtures.
Academy Under-21 coach Simon Ireland believes the move will provide Goodwin with a different type of expectation.
He told seagulls.co.uk, “It gives him first-team experience and added pressure, a different pressure because someone has observed him, likes his attributes, and has brought him in to do a job and that will be what is expected of him.
“It also gives him an insight into what preparation for a first-team game is like compared to an Under-21 fixture.”
Goodwin could be set to make his debut for Tonbridge against Whitehawk on Saturday, where fellow Albion under-21 Courtney Richards is currently on loan.
