8 October 2012

Match updates from Pride Park, where David Lopez makes his full debut...

Final Score: Derby County 0 Albion 0

FT: It finishes all square at Pride Park. Another brilliant defensive display from Gus Poyet's side, in a contest that saw Albion hit the woodwork twice and create the better chances. Albion now unbeaten on the road in four games with 10 points from a possible 12.

74: Tomasz Kuszczak makes two brilliant saves in quick succession to deny John Brayford. The contest is really livening up here.

72: Albion strike the crossbar again as David swings a brilliant corner in and the ball deflects onto the bar, only for Dean Hammond to steam in a nod the rebound wide.

62: Brighon's best chance of the match. A clever lay off from Dobbie sets up David Lopez but the Spanish winger puts his effort wide.

51: Dobbie is next to try his luck from outside the box, after turning his marker he unleashes a drive that flies over Legzdins's bar.

49: Liam Bridcutt tries a curling shot from 25-yards and his strike deflects onto the Derby bar.

HT: Goalless here at Pride Park with chances very limited for both sides.

43: Ashley Barnes and Stephen Dobbie link up well and nearly carve out an opening goal. Barnes plays in Dobbie but Adam Legzdins is quickly out to prevent the Scottish striker from getting a shot off.

28: Great skill from Bruno on the right hand side who delivers the ball into the Derby area, Orlandi meets the cross at the back post but heads over.

18: Live commentary is available via Seagulls Player.

9: Albion have a succession of corners and Andrea Orlandi twice threatens. Firstly with a volley that is deflected wide, then with a half volley from the edge of the area which goes over the bar.

Gus Poyet makes four changes to the side that were held to a 1-1 draw by Ipswich Town on Tuesday night, which includes a full debut for David Lopez.

Bruno has recovered from a groin injury and starts at right-back, while Gary Dicker returns to the midfield three: Inigo Calderon and Dean Hammond both drop to the bench.

Rams boss Nigel Clough also makes changes to his side that drew at Middlesbrough in midweek. Goalkeeper Frank Fielding has a groin injury so is replaced by Adam Legzdins.

Conor Sammon is rewarded for his assist at the Riverside Stadium and is brought into the starting line-up, with Nathan Tyson dropping to the bench.

Meanwhile, Gareth Roberts also drops out of the squad and is replaced by James O'Connor.
