Albion fans can donate to Macmillan Cancer Support at the Amex tomorrow, and all funds raised will be going directly towards a new innovative support centre in Brighton...The charity's volunteers will be located around the external concourse ahead of Albion’s Championship game against Middlesbrough and supporters are encouraged to give generously where possible.
Every year 7,000 people in Sussex are told they have cancer. It’s devastating news that often leaves them, their family and friends desperately searching for answers, reassurance or someone to talk to.
Support and information is urgently needed to help people in Sussex who are diagnosed with cancer so Macmillan Cancer Support is building a new, innovative support centre in Brighton. The centre is due to open in 2014 and the charity urgently needs to raise £3.7m.
Ben Ahmed, Macmillan fundraising manager for Sussex said, “We’re really grateful to Brighton & Hove Albion for supporting Macmillan. Please dig deep and support us in raising the vital funds that we urgently need for the new support centre – every penny will make a difference.
“Everyone will be affected by cancer at some point in their lives - this is your centre and it could be here to help you, your friends or family in the future.”

Albion fans are advised that the Mithras House park-and-ride site will not be in operation tomorrow, but has been replaced with the Preston Barracks site on the opposite side of the road.
