Robert Sanchez denied Spurs a way back into the game with his fantastic stop.

Albion's improved performances in recent weeks have been as a result of the hard work on the training pitch, according to Robert Sanchez.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper extended his run of league clean sheets to three matches in Sunday's 1-0 win over Tottenham.

“It's unbelievable. It's our third clean sheet in a row in the Premier League and it was one of the best performances I have seen from the team for the whole season. We deserved the win and we got it.

“In a lot of our games at the Amex this season we've been quite unlucky, but we have kept working and working in training and now the results are coming. We're determined to build on it.

“After this victory, everyone is really happy and now we're going to fight for the points when we go to Liverpool.”

Sanchez: One of our best

Sanchez certainly played his part in the result as he expertly denied Carlos Vinicius with an outstretched palm with the score at 1-0.

“This kind of game is one of the hardest for a goalkeeper. You have nothing to do for 70 minutes and then you have to face that shot that you have to save. That's what you work on in training, you have to concentrate for 90 minutes.”

The keeper's confidence continues to grow with each game he gets under his belt in an Albion shirt.

“The game time is the most important thing for a young player, especially a goalkeeper. Playing week in, week out it helps a lot. I feel really confident going onto the pitch now each game.”
