Pascal Gross believes Albion's 1-0 win over Tottenham had been 'a long time coming' as his team brought an end to the winless home run.
Without a Premier League victory since beating Arsenal 2-1 in June, Albion were full value for their three points against Jose Mourinho's men and will feel they could have won by a greater margin.
“We have taken three points off one of the top teams in Tottenham,” Gross said. “We needed to have a top performance and it was one of our better performances of the season.
“We have had a few games where we just haven't been able to score and not got the result we deserved so this was important for us.

“It's true a home win has been a long time coming. We are really pleased with the way we played and the fact we got the three points which we deserved.
“We've had some good home performances in recent months, but we could never get a win. We were quite unlucky sometimes, but we weren't on Sunday.”
The 29-year-old hailed the result as a big win, as Albion now prepare for the trip to Anfield on Wednesday.
“It feels like a very big three points. We have two tough games, the first last night against Tottenham and then Liverpool on Wednesday, so it was very important to get a result against Spurs, it will give us a lot of confidence.”
