Jakub Moder is hoping to make his Albion debut in the coming weeks.

Jakub Moder is thankful to Albion for giving him the opportunity to test himself in the Premier League.

The midfielder joined the club on deadline day in October and a few days later made his international debut.

“It was a very crazy few days,” he said. “I signed for Brighton only two days after I heard about the move and then I made my debut for Poland. It is my dream to play in the Premier League and for the national team.

“When I was young it was my dream to play in England and I am really grateful that the club are giving me this chance, I hope to play a lot of games for Brighton.

The Poland international was named on the bench for Saturday's 2-1 win over Blackpool.

“I can’t wait to play in the Premier League and wear the blue shirt. Day by day I am closer to being in the squad, to being on the pitch.”

The 21-year-old was recalled in December from his loan with Lech Poznan, and he has enjoyed his start to life on the south coast.

“It's been a big experience for me – I am very happy with where I am at. There is a lot of top quality in the team and also among the staff. I have had a very warm welcome and I feel like I am an important part of the squad.

“I can learn a lot from the players here, especially about the intensity of the training which has been very high. It's the best league in the world and it was hard at the beginning, but I feel I am doing well. Day by day, week by week, I will get better.”
