Andi Zeqiri has continued to impress head coach Graham Potter.

Graham Potter has hailed the enthusiasm and desire he has seen from Andi Zeqiri since the forward's arrival at the club.

Zeqiri made his Premier League debut as a second-half substitute against Wolves before earning his first start in Albion colours at Newport County eight days later.

The head coach praised his player's attitude and application ahead of today's FA Cup game against Blackpool at the Amex.

“We've been really impressed with his desire to adapt and learn in a new environment.

Andi Zeqiri played his part as Albion fought from two goals down to draw 3-3 with Wolves.

“His personality is fantastic, and everyone likes him. He brings enthusiasm to the place and loves coming to work and trying to help the team.

“He's a young guy with ambition but also a real team player. It's never easy but he's worked really hard on the language and now he's adapting to the Premier League. We are really happy with him.

“If the competition this weekend gives him another chance to play, then that's good.

“We want to pick the side that we feel is capable of beating Blackpool and if Andi is part of that then great. I'm sure he'll want to keep getting on the pitch as often as he can.”

Potter also dismissed the notion of taking today's game at the Amex against the Tangerines lightly having seen them eliminate West Brom in the last round.

Potter's Blackpool press conference

“This is definitely not a time to be relaxing. They have knocked out Premier League teams before, have a strong side and are well coached by Neil Critchley.

“It is a chance to win, improve and make progress and that’s how we are thinking about the game. The main focus for us is trying to beat a good Blackpool team.

“I have always enjoyed the FA Cup. It is a competition that gives lower teams the opportunity to financially improve with the prize money and draw big teams. Clubs still want to win the trophy.”
