Andi Zeqiri made his Premier League debut back in December.

Andi Zeqiri is learning a lot from working alongside the likes of Neal Maupay and Danny Welbeck as he settles in at Albion.

The forward made his Premier League debut in December, before making his first start for the club in the Emirates FA Cup third round win over Newport County.

Getting to train and play with top players is a privilege according to the 21-year-old, “They are very high-quality players. You always learn so much when training with them and I'm a young player so I am really lucky to have teammates like them.

“Watching them train every day I get to learn from them. I try to chat with them every day it will help me progress and learn. Now it's down to me to show that I can also bring something to the team."

Zeqiri believes his increased intensity of training since his summer move from Lausanne-Sport is helping to take his game to another level.

“I know that football in England is very different from other countries because everything goes ten times faster.

“This has helped me improve. I learn something every day, tactically and technically. I know that I still have lots of hurdles ahead of me and improvement to make but I try to progress so that I am on the top of my game if I am in the team. That's my challenge every day.”

Zeqiri is having three English lessons a week so he can get to know his team-mates and what the coaching staff expect of him.

Maupay: A big win for us

“I set myself the goal of learning English quickly, I had to understand the coach's system and where he wanted me to play.

“I have English lessons three times a week - an hour each time - and that has helped me a lot. Now when people speak in English I am able to more or less understand. I am not shy to talk so I try to have as many conversations with the players as possible.”
