Graham Potter said Alexis Mac Allister was 'amazing' in Wednesday's narrow defeat against Manchester City.
The Argentina international played an influential role against Pep Guardiola's title chasers and the Albion head coach was full of praise for the 22-year-old, who completed his first 90 minutes in the Premier League.
He said, “I thought that was his best game for the club.
“He left everything out on the field and showed really good quality on the ball.
“He was playing against a top side, but I thought he was amazing.”
Mac Allister was recalled from a loan spell at Boca Juniors last January and made his debut for the club away to Wolves last March before the COVID-19 pandemic stopped the season.

Potter spoke in more detail about the midfielder's time on the south coast and highlighted the player's character and attitude.
“It's been a difficult time for him and it's been nearly a year since he joined us, but sometimes it just happens that way.
“He had a bit of an injury and also a bit of illness, so all of that plays a part.
“But he's a fighter that's for sure. He fights for the team and gives everything and he's the kind of character we want to have around.”
