Graham Potter was delighted with his side's second half response on Saturday.

Graham Potter isn't sure whether Albion’s fightback against Wolves could be a pivotal moment in their season.

But the head coach has praised his players for their resilience after they came from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 and arguably could have won for the first time at the Amex since June.

Asked whether the result could be season defining, Potter said, “When you look at how the game paned out, it is a really good point for us. The players felt positive afterwards, and their attitude and togetherness were wonderful.

“We all needed that second-half performance including me and my staff, because we are all part of the team. There is always a narrative around the head coach when you are not winning and you have to accept criticism. There is nothing I can do about that, all I can control is how I act and work with the players.

“But I never doubt the players and their desire to do their best. We have been a bit unlucky. In every game we've tried to effect it in a positive way but sometimes the opposition are better and sometimes we have made mistakes.”

After travelling to Newport County in the FA Cup on Sunday, Albion visit Manchester City and Leeds United next week in the Premier League before January ends with home games against Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur.

“Let's hope Saturday proves to be a big moment and that we can kick on and get some positive results. We'll keep going no matter what and keep doing our best and hope we can turn some of the draws, because we've probably had too many of those, into three points.

Potter also revealed why he decided to change his appearance on the touchline after watching the Wolves match in a smart grey coat and trousers instead of his usual tracksuit.

“I have changed from my bad tracksuit to my own bad clothes! The boys can now look at me with my shocking gear and think 'it's not too bad out there!' I fancied a change for 2021. I'm going to be myself and wear my own clothes.”
