Graham Potter is keen to see his side address their home record.

Graham Potter believes there's no point wasting time complaining about the fixture schedule over Christmas.

The head coach is used to hearing the grumbles around this time of year, but because he can't do anything about it he doesn't let it concern him.

Albion play the first of four games in two weeks on Sunday against Sheffield United before facing West Ham (27th), Arsenal (29th) and Wolves (Jan 2nd).

He said, “Christmas traditions – turkey, Christmas crackers and managers complaining about the turnaround in games! Sometimes it's fair, sometimes it isn't. it's less fair for Sheffield United with their recovery time after playing on Thursday. It's less fair for us when we play Arsenal, because they have got an extra day.

Albion head into Sunday's game on the back of a goalless draw with Fulham.

“There's nothing we can do, we don't set the schedules. You just have to accept it and get on with it as best as you can. In an ideal world it would look different, but I don't think it's ever going to change.”

Tomorrow's game represents the chance for Albion to secure their first home league win of the season. Potter believes there have been factors as to why they haven't achieved that yet.

“It's a combination of playing the top teams without our supporters. We've had a few too many draws and wins are hard to come by in the Premier League anyway. That's how it is.

“We are keen to address that. Sometimes you have to go through a spell of suffering but you can come through it and be stronger.

“That's what we're all aiming for, we will do our best against Sheffield United and it's an opportunity because it's the next match.

“I know for sure it's not an easy match, it's not a gimme. We will have to fight for everything. They are going to be ultra-competitive and with every game in the Premier League you have got to do your best and hope for a little bit of luck. When we get that win, we will be delighted.”
