Graham Potter confirmed that his 'fantastic' club captain Lewis Dunk will be in the starting line-up against Aston Villa on Saturday.
The 28-year-old has missed Albion's last three matches after he was sent off in the 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace last month.
Potter said, “Lewis is our captain, he is a fantastic player and we have missed him. He is a big miss in terms of the communication and the understanding that he brings. There is no doubts about Lewis, he goes into the team.”
Albion have taken six points from their first eight Premier League fixtures but Potter is confident that good performances will soon be rewarded with more points.
“We're not panicking. We're disappointed with the results we have had and we are fighting to change it. Our performances have been good, but we need to improve them even more to get the fine margins in our favour.
“We could quite comfortably be sitting here in double figures [points] then the conversation is slightly different, but there's no point feeling sorry for ourselves, we need to stick together and keep on fighting.”
The signing of Danny Welbeck has bolstered Potter's attacking options, and he believes the former England striker is getting closer to his best with every training session.
“He only arrived recently and had been training on his own, so he needed some time with the team. But he is getting stronger and he has made a really positive first impression.
“He enjoys being here, he is enjoying training and playing his football. The more that happens the better it will be for him and us.”
