Dan Burn has admitted that life without fans at the Amex is proving difficult for everyone.

A government trial event saw 2,500 home supporters watch Albion draw 1-1 with Chelsea in pre-season.

Before that, the last league game fans were permitted to attend on home soil was the match with Crystal Palace at the end of February.

He said, “It isn’t easy but it’s the same for everyone.

“Having supporters with you in the ground can drive you on in moments within matches when you might need it.

“The tempo of the game suffers a bit. When you dream of playing football as a kid you want to play in front of crowds and get that buzz.

“They’re a big advantage for us at home and they are a big miss.”

Albion are next in action at the Amex against Liverpool on Saturday 28th November. Burn hopes the side will be playing in front of fans again before too long.

“Some teams may be inclined to take more risks at the moment because perhaps a crowd might make someone a bit of wary of making a certain move.

“But our fans are really good and always give us a great motivation to do well. They will give us a massive lift when we can safely welcome them back into the stadium.”
