Danny Welbeck has impressed the Albion dressing room according to Dan Burn.

Dan Burn has revealed that Danny Welbeck's quality stood out on the training field immediately.

The forward signed a one-year deal with Albion last month and made his first start in Friday's 0-0 draw with Burnley at the Amex.

He said, “From the very first training session he was with us you could see his quality.

“He holds the ball up well, can run in behind and his finishing is very good.

“It's a good bit of business and if he keeps getting a lot of chances then he will score a lot of goals.

“Neal [Maupay] has played there as well, and he was very good coming in from the left [on Friday] and was unlucky not to get a goal too.”

Burn also praised the impact of Welbeck's fellow summer arrival Adam Lallana. The midfielder also impressed against the Clarets and produced a Man of the Match performance and got another 90 minutes under his belt.

“He's [Lallana] been in good form for us and I think he's changed our mentality a bit as well.

“He's done it all in the game during his career and as we're quite a young squad, it's good to have that experienced head in the dressing room.

“Both him and Danny Welbeck have been two really good signings and they'll only help us improve and get better.”
