Bissouma blockbuster up for award

Midfielder’s goal against Everton nominated for October’s Goal of the Month.

Yves Bissouma fires in a wonderful strike against the Toffees.

Yves Bissouma’s stunning strike at Everton has been shortlisted for the Budweiser Premier League Goal of the Month for October.

The 24-year-old’s volley into the bottom left corner from the edge of the box was his first goal of the campaign. Another stunning strike in the final match of last season at Burnley was also nominated.

Bissouma faces competition for the award from Timo Werner (Chelsea), Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United), Manuel Lanzini (West Ham United), Ross Barkley (Aston Villa), Patrick Bamford (Leeds United), Michail Antonio (West Ham United) and Tom Cairney (Fulham).
